  1. I’m an anti-circumcision activist, but the Foreskin Man comic is blatantly anti-Semitic, racist and sexist in its depictions and trivializes sexual abuse of children. These tropes do not represent the views of the majority of intactivists, and the primary threat in the United States is the promotion of circumcision as a medical procedure. To focus on religious circumcision when these procedures are the vast minority is counterproductive and stigmatizes minority groups. More information:

      • I thank you for your coverage and I’m sure Matthew means well. But I think the effect that the comic has had on the public perception of intactivists cannot be repaired with an explanation very few people will ever hear. There’s being right, and then there’s being effective. If the comic were more serious and simply told realistic stories instead of being an action comic with superpowers, it might make people think. But the sensationalized images set off every defense mechanism in pro-circs’ minds so any information presented doesn’t get through.

      • Well thank you for your feedback. I certainly encourage you to express your views to Matthew himself, since he is the creator of the comic 🙂 I have no opinion regarding the comic itself. I am simply interested in intactivism, and that is what I am promoting with this particular show.
